Staying logged in
« on: March 08, 2010, 06:13:57 PM »
Is it possible to stay logged in to savinglucas.co.nz all the time? I leave the calorie counter page open and fill it out through out the day but each time I come back after a break and fill out a new item and it says I have to log in again, and it doesn't remember my careful caloric calculations (like my alliteration?) and I generally have to do over since I have the memory of a young goldfish.

Unfortunately because we are dealing with people's personal data - weight and so on - they usually get very picky about privacy. Leaving someone logged in means if someone else comes to use the compute they could potentially see/access your health data, and that would be a nightmare, especially if someone logged in on a work or public computer.

Sure, but some sites, facebook for instance, give you the option of staying logged in (on your personal computer), or not (at the library), so that if you're using your own computer you don't have to sign in every hour or whatever.
Also, would be good to get notification of responses to stuff posted here.
Cheers.

That's a good idea, we'll add it to the list.
Regarding notification of replies, when you hit Reply you'll see a link called "Additional Options" under the text box you type the reply in. Click that, and tick "Notify me of replies"
